I was looking forward to the book launch party in Washington because I hadn’t been there in a few years. There is so much great talent in that area and I was happy to see old friends and meet so many new ones.
Sarasota rocked the house – what an incredible book launch party!
I’d like to thank The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota’s General Manager, Jim McManemon, and Director of Sales, Kimberly Pate, for an amazing event. Chef Southwick concocted beautifully designed food stations that tasted even better than they looked.
One of my favorite parts of this tour is putting a face to so many names and to have the chance to see so many old friends that I haven’t had the chance to see in a while. Something else that I love is going to each city and seeing the industries’ different sense of design aesthetic and approach to the wedding industry. When it comes down to it, the unifying thread is that we are all celebrating love.
Here is a fabulous video captured from the book tour event at The Vancouver Club. Look for the tabletops shown in this video in our 2010: Fall/Winter issue.
Some humbling words from Victoria Chase, Director of Social Catering, Mandarin Oriental Miami:
The definition of “grace” … elegance, refinement and style. My reference, in this particular context, is not to the word but the person. Mandarin Oriental, Miami recently had the distinct honor of hosting a book signing for Grace Ormonde’s “being in love never goes out of style”.
I just spent the afternoon in Gloria Estefan’s Costa d’ Este Beach Resort last Thursday for the Discover Love luncheon (for Indian River County Chamber of Commerce) with some of the top destination wedding planners from all over the country. It is the most fabulous hotel in Vero Beach!
The lovely decor and small touches make this place truly a secret jewel for exclusive and private destination weddings. Costa d’ Este offers unparalleled privacy for all of your guests while they celebrate your love.
Special thanks to Gloria Estefan and the resort’s catering manager and wedding consultant, Alba Vasquez!

P.S. Vero Beach was so relaxing I want to move there. Next stop: Sarasota!
I want to thank The St. Regis Atlanta, Simon Rusconi (general manager) and Harrison Rohr (director of catering) for hosting an incredible party. I would also like to thank Tony Conway of A Legendary Event for the decor, Anne Barge for the live installations, and all of the supportive and talented people that came out to celebrate this book launch with us!
It was with my distinct pleasure meeting so many special people. Thank you for your southern hospitality!
With the first leg of the book tour coming to a close, I had some time to reflect on what I can only describe as an amazing experience at the launch parties in Beverly Hills, San Francisco and Vancouver. I feel humbled by your warmth and support. While the setting of each party was distinctly different, they all shared a similar energy and sense of excitement. It is truly rewarding to meet each of you and I want to thank for attending.
I also want to thank everyone who has ordered the book online. The response has been overwhelming. Apparently, it will take much more time than I anticipated to personalize all the orders so far!
Thank you sincerely for everyone’s support! We definitely feel the love!
At the Beverly Hills and San Francisco launch parties, Grace has been autographing each of the books sold. Wanting to extend the same courtesy to everyone else, Grace promised to offer personalized autographs for every book sold until April 30th.

Hope you all love it as much as we had producing it,
It seemed like a decade of planning to finally witness the efforts in fruition.
I couldn’t have asked for a better team and place to host the debut of Grace’s new book. The California sun was radiant and so was everyone’s energy.
The air was wafting with romance and fine perfumes. The clinking of flutes made a delightful melody while silvery laughs filled the room. It was the calm before the storm. We eased our anxiety with bottles of Veuve Clicquot; room service was kept quite busy.
Along with the help of many sponsors, Grace Ormonde is launching a 20 city tour
to debut her new book, which is a 416 paged (10+ pound) behemoth of inspiration.
